Survival-horror experience for ROBLOX
Flee the Facility is a free-to-play action and puzzle game from Andrew “MrWindy” Willeitner. This ROBLOX experience allows up to four players or Survivors to try to hack computer terminals and unlock their way out. As they solve puzzles and find the computers, they are chased by the Beast, who hunts and keeps the Survivors in Freeze Pods. Unlock all computers and escape to win; get everyone captured and you lose.
Its asymmetrical gameplay and selection of maps make Flee the Facility a community favorite in terms of survival-horror and co-op gameplay, like ROBLOX’s own take on Dead by Daylight.
Work together to escape
Like other multiplayer survival-horror titles, Flee the Facility assigns up to four players as the Survivors, who will be playing against one character that is tagged as The Beast. For the survivors, their main task is to find the computers and hack them. There are audiovisual cues that inform all players whenever a hack is being attempted. Once they’re done, they’ll have to initiate an opening sequence.
The players are all given a headstart while the Beast uses the same time to select an upgradeable ability and the power to knock Survivors with one hit. Unlike the Survivors, however, the Beast is locked in a first-person perspective, requiring them to manually turn around to see what’s behind them. Players aside, there are 12 maps still available with three extra maps removed.
Its straightforward premise has made the game largely popular in the ROBLOX community, despite its servers having a fixed size of five players at a time. There are also glitches in the game, such as collision issues that send characters teleporting. Also, some maps have faced criticism from players, often due to technical issues and poor designs, such as the original Facility_0.
